Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 pack of Jus Rol ready to bake croissant dough
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 bag of mixed dried fruit & nuts
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Butter to brush the dough
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Rum to spread on the dough (optional)
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Extra-mature cheddar & chutney to serve (optional)
Equipment required
  • Knife/pizza cutter to cut the pastry
  • Pastry brush for rum (optional) and butter
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven or air-fryer

Method

  1. Unravel the croissant dough and cut along the dotted line to make triangles.
  2. Scatter the mixed dried fruit and nuts across the surface of the pastry and gently press down.
  3. Optional – brush with a little rum for a more traditional taste.
  4. Roll from the longer side in and shape into a crescent.
  5. Top with some more fruit & nuts and brush with a generous amount of melted butter.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10-15, until golden or an air-fryer for 8-10 minutes at 200 degrees.
  7. Serving suggestion – pair with strong, extra-mature cheddar and fruity chutney.
