How do you cook for a gluten-intolerant guest?
When cooking for a gluten free guest, make sure to only use packaged products that are labelled gluten free – many pre-made sauces, seasonings, condiments and dressings won’t be! And be sure to avoid cross-contamination in the kitchen: separate surfaces for gluten-based ingredients are a must. It’s always good to involve your gluten free guest in the planning, so share your menu with them in advance if you can.

How can you enhance the flavour of gluten free pastries?
Creating flavorful gluten free pastries is all about adding complementary ingredients to compensate for the absence of traditional wheat flour. Use high-quality extracts like vanilla or almond for depth of flavour, and experiment with citrus zests for added freshness. Adding spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom is also a great way to introduce some warmth. Lastly, add some dried fruits like raisins, cranberries and apricots for bursts of natural sweetness!
